DREAMS CHANGE EVERYTHING - BUILDING A SENDING CHURCH

Will the dream of BUILDING A SENDING CHURCH make a difference? YES!

OUR LEADERSHIP WILL CHANGE
The leadership of the church used to do most things - run the church, keep the programs going, etc. But with dreams, it changes the focus for the leadership to be the releaser of the people's dreams. The primary focus of the leadership will be to equip people to do the ministry.

OUR DIRECTION WILL CHANGE
We're going out of the church, not into the church. How does Sunday prepare us for the rest of the week? Is it making a difference? Is it training us? Is it encouraging us to be ministers on Monday through Saturday? We exist for the sake of those who do not yet know Jesus Christ!

OUR IDENTITY WILL CHANGE

We are the salt of the earth, the light of the world. It's hard to be the light of the world if you're never in the world. It's hard to be the salt of the earth if you're never in the earth. We are light! Light wins every time over darkness. We are salt, and the only way the earth can be preserved is by being rubbed into the earth, not by isolation.

OUR GIFTS WILL CHANGE

We used to think that gifts were for us. Now we know our gifts are for others! God gifts us so we can serve the broken teens coming from abusive families, the elderly who are alone, the potential young moms who just had an abortion, the homeless poor who have no hope. We need our gifts so we can be about the mission of MAKING JESUS KNOWN

OUR SUNDAYS WILL CHANGE
What is the purpose of Sunday Mornings? Why is Sunday so important in BUILDING A SENDING CHURCH? On Sunday, March 25 you are invited to an ODYSSEY EVENING from 6:00 - 8:15 in the Family Life Center. Dinner will be served followed by the sharing of a dream for Sunday morning, discussion and discernment. Get it on your calendars and make every effort to participate in this very important evening!

THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND PRESENCE AT CENTRAL!

Paul Johansson

The Five Love Languages of Parenting
Wednesdays during Lent, 7:00 - 8:00 pm
Are you equipped to love your son or daughter effectively? What about your teenager? Despite significant peer pressure, it is still parents who influence teens the most. And the door to that influence is love. Love is the most functional building block of parent-son/daughter relationships. According to Dr. Gary Chapman, author of the Five Love Languages, parents must learn to express their love in a language that makes sense. Some youth long for tender words, while others desire a gentle touch, a thoughtful gift, a kind deed or quality time spent together. What love language does your child speak?

Just Walk Across the Room
Wednesdays beginning February 28 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm
Have you ever wondered how to share your faith with others? Jesus didn’t force faith on anyone. He had no memorized script or set of handouts to impose on people. Instead, he came with an offer to serve people just like you and me. Jesus extended hands of compassion, care, and inclusiveness to people who needed a touch of God’s love. Come and learn how easy it can be to make an eternal difference in someone’s life – just walk across the room!
My Story
What is your story? Share with others how Christ has made an eternal difference in your life. Email your story to and we will post your story in Christ Connect.
