To Honor Those Who Serve and Have Served Our Country
In fulfilling the mission of “Making Jesus Known” Central Lutheran desires to become more involved in recognizing and honoring our military personnel and their families within our own church family and community, as well as the dedicated and brave military soldiers worldwide. Within the Caring Friends Ministry of Central, we have established a newly-formed extension to include our Military Ministry created to make Central a more military friendly church.
To educate us in this much needed ministry, two members of the Caring Friends team attended an outstanding seminar, "Ministry to Our Military and their Families", at Bethel University in April. It was an extremely informative and powerful presentation designed to help us understand what we can do as a church to serve, encourage, and support our service men and women and their families with the many concerns and challenges they face before, during and after deployment. As a result of this seminar, we are now in the planning stages for several exciting new events and projects throughout the year. Additional details will be available in upcoming newsletter issues and announcements.
If you are interested in joining us in this vitally important Military Ministry, please contact the church office for more information. We invite anyone who has a passion for the freedom we so enjoy. It should be our privilege to open our hearts and minds in prayer and commit to serving our military and their families.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
