Fresh Food, Fresh Faith needs Volunteers

Fresh Food, Fresh Faith is a program hosted by Central each Wednesday morning

The mission of this organization is to feed those among us who are hungry and thirsty while making Jesus known.    We provide quality and healthy fresh fruits, vegetables, and  bread with the Word of God at no cost to those in hardship situations.

Our attendance averages about 50 families per week (including Russian and Spanish speaking guests).  We serve breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and food distribution begins at 9 a.m.  Volunteers take care to interact and encourage clients during this first hour.  We sit, eat, and visit with clients forming encouraging relationships.  Additionally, we ask our attendees if they would like prayer for any of their needs and life situations.   Many of our volunteers started out as attendees.

Although people come to receive food, it has become a gathering place that builds relationships.  A guest came recently for the first time and said she came for free food Wednesdays and received so much more.  We strive as a mission to build, connect and empower all involved in the process whether one is serving or being served.

Areas to serve in this ministry:  (please contact Kris Studniski, estudniski@aol.com).

  • Tues and/or Friday 9:30 a.m. pick up donations at Caribou and Chipotle and deliver to Central.
  • Wednesday mornings: 7:00 pick up donations at Cub and Coborns, 7:00 set up, 8:00 visit, listen, pray, 9:00 distribute food, 9:15 a.m. – clean up.

Not receiving our emails?

Many email service providers and internet service providers have spam filters to keep out unsolicited email. Due to the volume of members and groups that we have, Central sends a lot of email. This occasionally causes email service providers to interpret our emails as spam.

To make sure you receive all emails from Central Lutheran sent via the Hub or our newsletters, add all communication from the domains “ccbchurch.com” and “clcelkriver.org” to your safe senders list in your email provider (this is known as “whitelisting”).

Central Lutheran uses several email addresses for communication with members. Therefore, the most effective way to make sure that you receive our email is to whitelist our domain names. Depending on the exact email service or program you are using, whitelisting our domain names may be done by entering something like one of the following:

For the Hub:

  • ccbchurch.com
  • @ccbchurch.com
  • *ccbchurch.com

For our email newsletters:

  • clcelkriver.org
  • @clcelkriver.org
  • *clcelkriver.org

In the event that your email service or program cannot whitelist entire domains, we would suggest you add these individual addresses to your whitelist:

  • email@clcelkriver.com
  • notifications@ccbchurch.com
  • returns@ccbchurch.com
  • no-reply@ccbchurch.com

Since every email system is different,* we have included whitelisting instructions for a few popular email service providers below.

*For further information regarding how your email system handles spam, please contact your email provider. We attempted to find the most up-to-date information, but you will be best served by contacting your email service provider directly for any specific needs.
