Hey Central Families!

VIBE and Path Finders will be off this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. However, Wednesday night we will have our Pie Fest at 7 pm. Come and thank God and our community missions organizations for their work in our town followed by PIE!

VIBE – New Memory Verse and OCC

Hey VIBE Families!

God is definitely at work in your kids! Last night, we began a unit on Worship, and we celebrated God’s faithfulness through the story of Nehemiah! Come again this next week to continue our journey of learning how to worship together!

I have attached our memory verse video. Until Christmas, kids will be learning this verse. Please watch it and practice it with your kids. The verse talks specifically about the most important moment in our Christian history, and our lives as Christ followers – when God sent Jesus to us as a little baby to change our destiny. Imagine your kids knowing deeply that Christmas is about the greatest gift God could ever give us – Jesus! Each kid who memorizes the verse will receive an LED mini flashlight!

We are giving to Operation Christmas Child this month. We would like to give 40 filled shoe boxes to the mission. Please bring filled boxes by November 15. Money donations are also welcome! For more specific instructions, visit

Again, we love your kids, and God loves your kids! Our hopes and prayers are that God will minister deeply to your children and help them to belong in God’s family and know God’s love in their lives through our ministry at VIBE! We’re still looking for dads to volunteer, so please contact me if you’d like to join us on this journey.

Be blessed!

VIBE Leaders – Parent’s Night Activity

Hey Leaders,

Thanks for all you do! This week we’re doing a very special Parent’s Night! Please watch the video to get instructions for our event. On Wednesday, I will assign you to a starting station. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

Don’t hesitate to call or e-mail with questions.

MEA Break

Hey VIBE and Path Finders Families!

We don’t have VIBE this Wednesday, so enjoy the wonderful fall and have a bonfire or watch a movie together. Maybe have a pj party? The options are endless. Join us on the 25th for Parent’s Night!

We will also take one week off of Path Finders this Sunday. BUT we will have some fun for kids during the 9:30 worship service. Please come and worship with us!

Finally, we are still short handed on Sunday mornings for adult leaders and Wednesday we could use 2-3 more dads! Watch the video to get inspired. If you can help at all, please e-mail me and I will talk with you about how to get involved.

Thanks so much and happy MEA break!

VIBE Update – October 11, 2017

Hey VIBE Parents!

We have been having so much fun learning about prayer! This last week we had over 50 kids at VIBE! That’s a lot of energy! We are looking for a few more adults to help lead and guide these kids. Hey, we’d take you for crowd control! If you could be a part of the team, e-mail me at

Also, we will not be meeting October 18 for MEA Break. We encourage you to come to have a family night! Do something relaxing together.

Finally, you’re invited to Parent’s Night on October 25. That night, please come with your child to VIBE. You will not want to miss out on the time to spend with your child and with God.

If you have any questions, please reach out!

Praying for your families to encounter God this week! See you at VIBE this Wednesday!

VIBE – October Update

Hey VIBE Families!

We’ve been having a blast practicing prayer and hearing about how God answered prayers for Daniel, Moses, and Gideon! Next week, we will talk about Jesus’ prayers.

Join us October 11 for Parent’s Night! Come with your child and do some family activities that will help you to connect with your kids around prayer.

This month’s memory verse is:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Kids who remember the verse this month will receive a prize!

We are giving money this month to fund our Camp Scholarships. We would like to offer discounts to kids going to Winter Chill Camp (3rd-6th grade) January 24-26, and Lake Geneva Christian Center in Alexandria in June. Please help us to give money for every kid to have a discount for these events.

One final note on check out. At the end of VIBE please make sure to give your ticket and your child’s ticket to their leader so they can release your child. Children must be checked out to leave the gym with a safe adult.

Be blessed this week!

Children & Family Ministry – Fall Kickoff

Hello Central Families!

We are so excited about what God is doing and will do in your kids this year! We have already had kids impacted by God’s word and our church family!

Here are just 2 quick stories:

At VIBE, a 4th grade boy lead his friends in the prayer activity and got everyone excited about the Lord’s Prayer.

After Path Finders, a little girl told her mom about the story. She learned that God made us to be in relationship with him so he sent Jesus. She said, “I’m so glad God sent Jesus to save us.”

This is what Children and Family Ministry at Central is all about! We want our kids to know God and to experience the hope of salvation through Jesus. To know what’s happening at VIBE and Path Finders this year, check out our events calendar. Put it on your fridge or bookmark it in your phone to know when we will meet this year.  Fall 2017 Events Calendar.pdf

We have 140 (and counting) kids signed up for ministries at Central! The number one way that kids continue in their faith long term is through mentorship by adults! We still need leaders for Path Finders (our Sunday morning experience). You’d be making a difference for at least 20 kids who need to know they are loved by you and God. Please e-mail me if you can serve 2 Sundays a month.

If you have any other questions or want to volunteer, please let me know!

May you know God loves you and is with you!

VIBE Summertime Update

Happy Summer VIBE Families!

I hope you’re enjoying the sunshine! I wanted to give you a few updates of summertime events your kids do during the school break.

  • Submerged – Community Bible Camp happens July 10-14. This free event runs from 6-8:45pm each night at Lion’s Park just behind Central. Central is the bad weather site. Please sign up to join the fun here by July 1. We want a head count so we can make sure to have enough volunteers, snacks, and supplies to have a wonderful event! Can’t wait to see what God will do!
  • Prepare: A Parent Gathering – Join Kaycee Stanley and myself as we share the vision and mission of the new year of programming for our families. At this parent only event, we want you to catch on to a new way of ministry, where we equip you to be the models and primary “faith shapers” for your kids. The event is Wednesday, August 17, 6-8pm. Mark your calendars and please attend! Can’t wait to see you there.
  • VIBE is looking for more to join the welcome team, small group leaders, and game leaders for the 2016-17 school year. We need parents to help check in our kids, spend time in small groups with them, and teach them games. If you’re interested in helping, please contact Joy at or call or text her at 612-978-1069.

May you be rested and refreshed this summer! God is in the little things.
