Everyone knows someone touched by cancer. What we may not know is how we can help them. By volunteering as a Cancer Companion you can be trained to walk alongside someone in their cancer journey to support and encourage them, volunteering the amount of time you are able.
We comfort because we were first comforted: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
Cancer brings uncertainty. What if in the midst of your cancer you found….HOPE….peace…strength…faith…kindness….understanding… If you or someone you love has ever been impacted by cancer, turn to Cancer Companions for:
- Information about cancer resources
- Individual support from someone that understands
- Christian Cancer Support Group
Open to cancer patients and their family members/caregivers may join at any time whether in diagnosis, treatment, post-treatment, or a survivor!
