Making Jesus Known

Hospitality Overview PDF Print E-mail

Hospitality is one of the most important practices of Christian faith. Extending ourselves in hospitality to others is not a strategy to attract new members or keep them interested in church.  It is an embodiment of the gospel. Hospitality ministry is an ongoing service to God and people.  Meaningful connections with Central’s family begin with the first step into our church. Hospitality teams ensure that all who enter feel welcomed and accepted by showing Christ’s love and welcoming them in such a way that they will want to return.

Hospitality Ministry is as simple as welcoming people as they enter the church. It's answering questions at the Welcome Center, a friendly handshake, a warm smile, and a sincere welcome but it goes beyond that. It's people sharing themselves with others. The most important part of this ministry is allowing Christ's hospitality to show through us. Contact: Alison Noble at  441-2363 or email at alison.noble@clcelkriver.org.

Greeters PDF Print E-mail

Greeters demonstrate the Odyssey team concept - a group of disciples and servants of the Lord bound together who are committed to reach a shared goal: to pass out love and friendship in the name and for the sake of Christ. Greeters have a “one-another” ministry: face-to-face, hand-to-hand, and heart-to-heart with the people they are called to serve.
