Kid's Connect - June 21, 2012

We’re headed to camp! This Sunday 39 brave and courageous campers are going to begin their journey to be equipped with the “Armor of God”. These children will be embraced by their FAITH COMMUNITY this week. They will be surrounded by 17 caring adults and youth from Central who desire to walk alongside these children – to help them encounter an awesome and loving God! This is a new journey for us at Central – we are running the camp! Please pray for these children, the leaders, and the experience. Come Friday, I know I will be physically tired, but I’m pretty sure my heart will be soaring!

Current Environment: Faith Community
God designed us to live in community and to experience Him in ways that can only happen when we are in proximity to one another. The FAITH COMMUNITY environment serves to create, equip, and disciple parents, to celebrate God’s faithfulness, and to bring a richness of worship through tradition and rituals, which offer children an identity.

Tru this Week: Sunday, June 24 – Children’s Chapel at all morning and evening services
Every week we distribute the HomeFront Weekly at Children’s Chapel. These weeklies are a tool for you as parents to use to prepare your child for the story they will hear on Sunday. Our desire is for you as parents to take time with your children to introduce the story to them prior to coming to learning time on Sunday.

Our TruWonder (Preschool-Kindergarteners) will be focused on the theme “God Is Our Shepherd and King”. They will be talking about the Bible Passage 2 Samuel 5; Psalm 23 – David Crowned King.

Our TruStory kids (1^st-5^th grade) will be focused on the theme “God Answers Prayer”. They will be discussing the story of Peter Delivered from Prison – in Acts 12:1-19.

VOLUNTEER LEADERS ARE NEEDED FOR SUNDAY EVENING CHAPEL! PLEASE CONTACT KIRSTEN GILL OR KRISTEN NORBY IF YOU HAVE ANY SUMMER SUNDAYS AVAILABLE TO SERVE.
