This Christmas season, our Military Ministry will be sending our Christmas spirit and prayers to the 39 dedicated Military names on our prayer list. Once again, we will also be sharing the Christmas spirit with many of our distinguished homeless Veterans in the Minneapolis area now numbering well over 550. We will be sending each of our Military men and women a gift of thanks for their service and for their safe return home from deployments. The packages will include: crafts, coloring sheets and placemats from the children, devotional booklets along with some other Christmas items from Central.

You can help by:

  • Donating a $10.00 gift card (Subway, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc.) Check out the Gift Cards at Holy Grounds or in the church office. You don’t even have to leave the building.
  • Donating money to cover the package postage
  • Donating candy to include in the package (individually wrapped)
  • Writing a note of thanks (Christmas cards provided)

For our homeless Veterans you can help by:

  • Picking up a Christmas bag at the Military table and filling it with small travel size items:
    • liquid soap, hand lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush (no mouthwash or opened bottles please).
  • Donating stocking caps, gloves, warm socks or coats (in good condition please)

The Military ministry will be collecting all of the “Christmas Spirit” gifts at the Military table on Sundays, November 12, 19 and 26. Please help us share the Christmas spirit with a gift of thanks to those who serve and have served and protected us throughout the years.

Merry Christmas from the Military Ministry!
