Thank you to Katie Johnson for our devotional this week on Ephesians 2:1-7.
In this passage, Paul reminds us that in spite of our sinful selves, Christ offers us life. Jesus changes everything for us when he sacrifices himself, on our behalf, and in spite of our unworthiness. The kind of eternal life he offers is not conditional upon how good we are, or how hard we try to please him. It is simply and profoundly this – a gift.
What kind of a god would offer itself for its subjects? Where else in history do we see a deity die for its followers? Additionally, where else can we find a divine being, who has infinite power and authority, who bestows this gift freely and lavishly?
We are made spiritually alive in Jesus Christ through his death and resurrection – given by grace and through faith. Knowing this, we are invited to live our lives for Him – with confidence and joy!
Almighty God and Loving Father, what can we do or say today that will point others to your gift of eternal life? Empower us with your Holy Spirit to speak light and love into those you place in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We appreciate all your prayers and continued prayer as we move forward in our mission to get God’s message out to the masses who will no longer go to a church to find it.

Featuring the true testimonies of author and spoken word artist, Jefferson Bethke, NBA star, Landry Fields, Founder and director of Scarlet Hope, Rachelle Star, and the former US manager of Apple Records, Ken Mansfield – this cinematic journey unpacks the counterintuitive truths of Jesus:
