These are a few of the typical reasons why someone might consider becoming a member of Central Lutheran Church:
- “I’m new to the community and looking for a
way to meet people with similar values.”
- “I’ve been church shopping for a few years now.
I need to settle down and commit to one
church.”
- “There’s so much need in the community and
the world. I’ve been blessed and I’d like to give
something back in service to others.”
- “My relationship with God is central to my life. I
need a place where I can grow in faith and
share with other Christ followers.”
- “I need a church home where I can get to know
others and let them know me, a place where I
can use my gifts to serve others.”
- “I know I need others to help me on the journey.”
What do you do next?
If you would like to learn more about how Central Lutheran Church lives out our mission of Making Jesus Known, we invite you to come to our Connections/Discovery Course.
The five week Discovery 101 course is held throughout the year, usually on Sunday mornings at 9:30. Upon completion, participants will attend Connections 101, an evening led by our Senior Pastor, Paul Johansson. Paul will lead a 90 minute session followed by dinner hosted by Central’s leadership.
By the end of the course, we hope you will discover more about your own faith, meet some other people with whom you can connect, and have an idea of the next step you might want to take at Central.
Joining
You are not obligated to join the church at the end of the course. If you choose to join, you will meet with some of our leadership and share about your faith and what your next steps may be. You would then answer the questions for membership that you find below.
Questions for Membership
- Who is your Lord and Savior?
Jesus Christ is my Lord and
Savior
- Do you trust Him?
I do.
- Do you intend to be His faithful
disciple, to share His love and obey
His word?
I do.
- Will you be a faithful member of
this congregation, and will you
support the church wherever you
may be?
I will.
Whether you think you might want to commit to membership or not, we would encourage anyone who has been visiting CLC for a while and wants to know more about the church to consider attending Connections/Discovery. |
