WHAT IS BUILDING A FUTURE?

Building A Future (BAF) is Central’s campaign to move forward creating ministry space inside & outside the walls of Central, not just improving our physical space, but sharing 10% tithe outside to community non-profit organizations. To date, Central’s building committee worked with Vanman architect to create a plan to improve our facilities and to make a warm welcoming environment with Phase I and Phase II. The building committee and a new BAF campaign team is ready to launch Phase III and Phase IV.

BAF 2.0 UPDATES:

UPDATE: Wednesday, January 24, 2024

We would like to inform you about some exciting developments regarding our Building A Future 2.0 campaign.

Our community’s support has been remarkable, with over $1 million accrued. This remarkable sum includes contributions from our dedicated members, funds carried forward from Building a Future 1.0, a generous memorial gift, and the utilization of employee retention tax credits (ERTC). Furthermore, we have successfully secured pledges totaling $652,862.00 over multiple years. The total construction bid for our project stands at $1.15 million.

While we have already secured funding for the core project scope through pledges, Central voted for a short-term borrowing approach on Sunday, January 14th, allowing us to begin construction on February 12, 2024, to kickstart the office and Little Lambs space swap. As part of this project, Central’s staff has already begun the process of moving out of our current office spaces and they will be temporarily relocated throughout the building.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their unwavering commitment and support for this project. We are immensely grateful to the Building of Future 2.0 team, the dedicated Central staff, the building committee, and the council for their unwavering dedication. Thanks to all who’ve prayed, participated and financially supported this vision.

Stay tuned for more updates, and let’s look forward to the positive changes that Building A Future 2.0 will bring to our congregation.

UPDATE: Sunday, April 21, 2024

Celebrate with us!

Our remodel project is underway and going well. Little Lambs’ new infant and toddler space is ready for paint, trim, and doors soon. As soon as state licensing approves the move-in, we can then focus on Central staff office space where the current Little Lambs infants are housed. We love working with Vanman Construction and their team. They have made this process easy.

Because we are excited, we want you to be as well. The next few Sundays, we will be selling ceiling tiles, carpet squares, and conference room chairs for the new office space. If you have not had an opportunity to give yet to the project, we encourage you to stop by the table and purchase one of the items to help us complete the next phase. If you haven’t pledged to the project, pledge cards will be available to fill out and drop off with our team. It’s not too late to give, and we would love for everyone to be on board.

If you have any questions, feel free to stop at the lobby table, ask our team members, or call the church office, and someone from staff can help you out.

Peace, BAF 2.0 team.

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW LONG WILL THE CAMPAIGN TAKE?

Capital campaign giving is an investment in current and future generations, so it is an ongoing process. This specific campaign is a three-year commitment above and beyond our regular giving for operations.

WHEN WILL THE PROJECTS BEGIN?

This depends on how much Central is able to raise and the timeliness with which pledges are raised. Our hope and plan is to begin in the winter months. The Campaign team will keep households updated on the progress through the three-year campaign.

WHO WILL BE ASKED TO PARTICIPATE?

Every household will be sent information about the projects and be invited to participate. Not everyone can make the same size gift but prayerfully, we can all commit something to make Central an inviting, safe environment for all.

HOW CAN I HELP?

Pray! Ask yourself and discern how you can give of yourself, your time, and your financial commitment. Take a leap of faith and give.
